Kjeldebotn

    Kjeldebotn is a village with approximately 300 people and the main activity is farming

    The distance to the local administration centre, Ballangen, is 20 kilometres, and the nearest town, Narvik, is 60  kilometres away.  
Kjeldebotn is located on the South side of Ofotfjorden and has a convenient boat connection to Harstad/Narvik Airport.

  The trip to the airport takes only 25 minutes.  There is also bus connection to Narvik and boat connection to Svolvær in Lofoten.  T
he village has a grocery shop which includes post office and drugstore, and there is a cafeteria in the harbour.

 

    Kjeldebotn is surrounded by beautiful nature - fjord, rivers, mountains and lakes.  During summer time the midnight sun   can be seen.

    The nearby mountain area Håfjellet is a popular place to go - the highest peak is 817 meters above sea level.
